BIOGRAPHY
Habbo Beem is an award-winning composer, arranger, and producer, best known for his work in music for TV, film, and documentaries.
His passion for music was evident from an early age. As a baby, he would listen to the radio for hours, completely captivated—especially by classical music. By the age of four he would “hear” complete works internally without any access to music education or instruments. Defying these limits, he built his own guitars and amplifiers as a teenager, founded bands, and toured across Europe as guitarist, bassist, drummer and vocalist.
With the rise of the digital revolution in the 1990s, Habbo began exploring orchestral textures through MIDI, samplers and electronics. Regardless of genre, the emotional depth of his music has always been a defining characteristic. His music quickly attracted major publishers such as EMI and Warner Bros, leading to worldwide use in television series including Friends, Beverly Hills 90210, The Bold and the Beautiful and many others. Since then, he has composed for films, documentaries, and live performances, working with ensembles such as the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra, the Metropole Orchestra, the Dutch String Collective and various project-based ensembles.
Habbo is frequently sought after for collaborations. He has worked with composers such as Bob Zimmerman, Loek Dikker and many others on multiple live projects. He has produced albums with Linda Ronstadt, Bulgarian legend Yanka Rupkina, and The Polish Nightingales.
In addition to composing and producing film music, Habbo is increasingly focusing on free symphonic works. His symphony KATHARSIS—a true musical spectacle—is a striking example of this artistic evolution.
